Native R36S Port — "Dusklight"
❖

A true native port of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the R36S — no emulator involved. The game's code runs directly as aarch64 machine code and renders on the Mali GPU through a custom GLES pipeline, with dozens of handheld-specific performance optimizations.

IMPORTANT:

This port does NOT include any game data. You must provide your own legally dumped GameCube ISO (NTSC-U, GZ2E01) from your original copy, renamed to zelda.iso.

INSTALLATION

I
Download dusk_port.zip and extract it on your computer.
II
Copy your own GameCube ISO (NTSC-U, renamed to zelda.iso) into the extracted dusk folder.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • The very first launch performs a cold shader-cache build and can take noticeably longer, with a few stutters in the first minutes of gameplay. This is normal and only happens once.
  • Performance settings (internal resolution, texture quality, draw distance, shadows, particles) can be tweaked by editing the variables at the top of Zelda Twilight Princess.sh
  • If something goes wrong, the log file will help diagnose it: /roms/ports/dusk/dusklight.log
  • The port is under active development — performance and stability keep improving with each build. Check this page for updated packages.

CREDITS & THANKS

This port is built on the Dusklight project. Thanks to the TwilitRealm team for their work decompiling and reviving Twilight Princess as a native engine.
